The Big Bang

“I interact with a with a pretty colorful cast of characters. You’ve got your populars, your losers, your minorities, your majorities, your wanna-bees and has-beens, your bakers and barbers, Uncle Ernie, Bill and Don… I am a musician, amongst other things. I bring my ideas into audible form, daily. This is my favorite thing to do.”

Stone Age

Sometimes we just drove around and listened to the radio. On one fine day, on one of our drives, I heard Queens of the Stone Age for the first time. The name of the song was “The Lost Art of keeping a secret” and the name of the album was “Rated R.” This band changed my life; I was never the same. After hearing this song, I went and purchased the album. I hated it. I liked my song but the rest of the album was kinda lame. Then it started to happen. I found another song that I kinda liked and then it spread. I went from feeling like I threw $20 out the window to feeling privileged to being alive when this band was coming out. Most of my favorite bands had formed and broken up, before I was even born.

Dinosaurs

Here is an excerpt from the entry on Tales from the Tar Pit, titled “Dinosaurs.”

Four years ago, i would grab most of my expendable cash every tuesday (Sometimes i would grab from my non-expendable pile. But, how big a deal is late rent, when the new Tool album is available) and go to the record store. I would buy a large coffee and hunker down for a good two hours of flipping through CD’s on a mission to find the music that would make me whole. I often came in with an agenda. If there was a new song on the radio that if liked, that would take priority. My new acquisition in hand, I would search on. They sold used used CD’s too.

The 7th Squeeze debut

The 7th Squeeze will head out on tour after a short break to complete their debut album with Hustle-flo Records.  This album promises to be a mover and a shaker and the players are getting pumped in The 7th Squeeze camp.  Vinnie Amico, of MOE., and Gary Kelly are gearing up for the final production of the self-titled album.  Its release is scheduled for mid-December, just in time for the holiday shuffle.  This is an exciting time for all, for a multitude of reasons.

The band will be unveiling a brand new line of merchandise, complete with designer cuts that team unique fashion with unparalleled comfort.  Keep up on what’s new in the Official store, as many of these designs will only be available for a limited time.  There will also be exclusive VIP and “special interest” packages, for fan club members only, available in the Vault.  And for the holidays, you will receive a gift of a rare track when you sign up on the mailing list.

The band is working very closely with their manager, TC, and the team at Hustle-flo, to put all the right things in place to unleash their monster on the world.  We’re doing a lot of I-dotting and T-crossing, and not a lot of sleeping or thumb-twiddling.  But here at The 7th Squeeze ranch we insist on the best, not only for ourselves, but for fans as well.
